How To Drive Defensively TIPS
1. DON'T DO UNTO OTHERS
Remonstrating with another driver can not only be dangerous for your wellbeing but it may distract another driver.
2. STAY OUT OF THE WAY
Give aggressive drivers plenty of room to get around you. The best tactic is to slow down and check all mirrors before hitting the breaks
3. YIELD
When someone barges out ahead of you when it's not their turn, put your ego and irritation in the back seat and...yield anyway.
4. BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS
Observe and respond to unexpected things that other drivers do. Drivers should be scanning the road constantly, both behind and ahead of them.
5. OVERCOME OVERCONFIDENCE
Drivers need to examine their own driving behaviors instead of always accusing the other driver (even though we claim it's always the other driver, right?) Slow down, obey traffic laws, and always wear your seat belt.
6. TAKE A REFRESHER COURSE
Many people have created bad driving habits out of overconfidence. Take a defensive driving course to refresh your driving skills.
7. REST AND REFRESH
Many accidents have been caused by the driver falling asleep at the wheel. Keep in mind that sleepy drivers can be just as dangerous as drunk ones.
8. BE A PEACEFUL AND SMART DRIVER
Do not put your sail in an aggressive drivers wind.
